Biography

Dr. Hamdy El Desouky is an expert in applying isotope geochemistry, fluid inclusions, remote sensing, GIS, as well as the conventional geological techniques in the various fields of “Applied Geology”, with special emphasis on ore geology and mineral resource exploration.

He spent 11 years in Belgium (2003-2014) where he obtained his MSc in 2005 from Ghent University, the top 103rd university in the world, his PhD in 2009 from KU Leuven University, the top 45th university in the world, and performed 5 years of postdoctoral research at KU Leuven.

He has a sound reputation in scientific research and a proven track record of success in international industry consultancy and collaboration. He participated in more than 30 research projects, published 71 scientific publications, actively participated in 25 international conferences worldwide and supervised several MSc and PhD students in Belgium and Egypt.
