Biography

Dr. Mina Michel Samaan is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Architecture, Galala University, and co-founder of the Equal Opportunity Unit. He holds bachelor and master degrees in Architectural Engineering from Mansoura University and earned his PhD from the Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany. His dissertation, “The Nile Development Game,” examining conflict and cooperation among Nile riparian states, was published by Springer Nature. Dr. Samaan has lectured and researched at Mansoura University, the Technical University of Dresden, and Florida International University. He led multiple DAAD projects on sustainable built environments, and has been honored with medals from various Egyptian ministries, universities, and the Egyptian Syndicate of Engineers.ORE THAN 100 WORDS.

  • PhD in Developmental Studies – Disputation date took place on August 23, 2017 – Institute of Social Sciences, Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany – Under the title of “The Nile Development Game: Tug-of-war or Benefits for All?” – Funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) through the EXCEED Center for Sustainable Water Management in Developing Countries.
  • M.Sc. in Architectural Engineering – June 2013 – Registered on May 2010 – Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University, Egypt – Under the title of “Towards Sustainable Campus Buildings In Egypt: Using BPS Tools for Optimizing Educational Spaces”.
