Galala University Strengthens Ties with Egyptian Academics in the United Kingdom
In its continuous pursuit of fostering global collaboration and academic excellence, Galala University (GU) was pleased to participate in a meeting with two distinguished associations in the United Kingdom — “Egyptians Together Union” (ETU) and “Egyptian Academics Together” (EAT).
The meeting, held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Haider Ghaleb, Acting President of Galala University, brought together prominent Egyptian academics from the UK and senior GU officials, including Prof. Dr. Tarek Abou El-Maaty, Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs; Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Shinawi, Acting Vice President for International Affairs, Community Service, and Environmental Development; and Dr. Hassan El-Dessouky, Dean of the Faculty of Advanced Basic Sciences. The session also welcomed Dr. Ayman Nada, Counsellor to the Egyptian Cultural Bureau in the United Kingdom.
The discussions focused on building a bridge between Egyptian academics abroad and Galala University to enhance academic cooperation, research development, and cultural exchange. Both sides emphasized the importance of supporting teaching and research initiatives through joint projects, academic exchange, and knowledge transfer programs.
As a result of this meeting, EAT-UK members will be invited to participate in a series of online and on-campus initiatives, including lectures, workshops, and research collaborations that aim to raise the quality of higher education and provide GU students with international exposure.
The two sides concluded the meeting with a mutual commitment to establishing a lasting partnership, including educational visits, joint research activities, and academic networking opportunities, reflecting a unified effort by Egyptian academics at home and abroad to contribute to the nation’s educational development.
