Galala University Students Join International Carbon Literacy Training Program in Partnership with Nottingham Trent University

At Galala University, students are empowered to gain global experiences and contribute to solving pressing world challenges. Recognizing the urgency of climate change and its impact on human and ecological systems, GU has partnered with Nottingham Trent University (NTU), UK, through a British Council-funded student exchange project focused on environmental sustainability and climate resilience.

As part of this initiative, six GU students will travel to NTU to participate in the award-winning Carbon Literacy Training program for Universities and Colleges, gaining advanced knowledge and practical tools to understand, mitigate, and educate others about carbon emissions and climate action. In parallel, NTU students will visit GU to engage in workshops and collaborative activities, fostering mutual learning and cross-cultural exchange.

The project emphasizes student-led consultation, exploring the role of universities in promoting climate-resilient communities, sustainable development, and economic growth within the context of the climate crisis. By participating in this program, GU students not only enhance their global perspective but also acquire the skills needed to influence policy, education, and community initiatives on climate change.

This collaboration exemplifies Galala University’s commitment to providing students with international learning experiences, equipping them to be leaders in sustainability and global citizenship.
