Minister of Higher Education Visits Galala University Booth at COP27
Galala University (GU) had the great honor of welcoming H.E. Prof. Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, at its booth during COP27 Egypt.
Prof. Dr. Mohamed El Shinawi, Acting President of Galala University, and Dr. Rana Zeidan, Secretary General, received Dr. Ashour, who expressed his admiration for the creativity and dedication of GU students in designing an eco-friendly and innovative booth that reflects the university’s strong commitment to sustainability and climate action.
During his visit, Dr. Ashour praised the university’s ongoing cooperation with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to advance a project focused on the use of solar energy, further supporting Egypt’s transition toward renewable and clean energy sources.
He also commended Galala University’s wide range of initiatives aimed at increasing environmental awareness within its community. These initiatives encourage both students and staff to take an active role in addressing the challenges posed by climate change, emphasizing the importance of scientific research and innovation in finding practical and sustainable solutions.
