Galala University Hosts the First International Spring School on Biophotonics Applications in Plant Biotechnology and Food Security

Under the auspices of H.E. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Shinawi, Acting President of Galala University (GU), the university is honored to announce the organization of the First International Spring School on “Biophotonics Applications in Plant Biotechnology and Food Security”, to be held on Galala University campus from March 14th to 16th.

This pioneering event is organized in collaboration with the African Laser Center (South Africa), the Italian Embassy in Cairo, and Optica, and aims to foster international scientific exchange and collaboration in one of the most promising interdisciplinary fields linking optical science, biotechnology, and sustainable food production.

Attendees will have a unique opportunity to engage directly with distinguished international experts from South Africa, Italy, Sudan, Egypt, and Romania, gaining valuable insights, practical skills, and exposure to the latest research in biophotonics and plant biotechnology.

Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive an accredited international certificate issued jointly by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Galala University, and the Italian Embassy in Cairo.
