GU Signs a Cooperation Protocol with Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait to Fund Scholarships

Galala University and Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait have signed a cooperation protocol to offer scholarships for the 2023-2024 academic year. Aimed at supporting outstanding students from low-income families, the collaboration spans various fields, including computer engineering, physical therapy, nursing, dentistry, pharmacy, applied health sciences, medicine, and basic sciences. This initiative ensures that the most deserving Egyptian students have the opportunity to pursue higher education, breaking financial barriers and fostering a legacy of empowerment.

This protocol stems from Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait’s strategy in the field of social responsibility, which seeks to support the education sector as one of the main pillars for the advancement of Egyptian society. The bank also seeks to sponsor students with academic competence to complete their university education, as the optimal investment in developing human capital skills qualifies youth to keep pace with emerging changes in the labor market.

GU also welcomes this cooperation, which reflects a form of social solidarity for distinguished students who deserve support from Galala University. This reflects the vision of the university and its community partners in spreading the culture of social responsibility and activating a positive role in society, as a beginning of joint work that achieves the goals of both parties and contributes to enhancing their roles.

Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait organized an informative session to enhance financial awareness among students. They also had the opportunity to learn about the latest banking services and products, especially those targeting youth, in addition to the facilities provided by the bank to reach all segments and the innovative digital channels it has developed, in line with the directives of the Central Bank of Egypt to spread awareness of the importance of financial inclusion and transitioning to a cashless society.

It is worth mentioning that this agreement comes within a series of cooperation agreements between Galala University and civil society institutions across various governmental and private entities in light of the directives of the political leadership to work towards achieving the goals of Vision 2030, promoting joint cooperation between all national entities and institutions.
