Galala University Joins Hands with Community in Charity Marathon for Gaza

Galala University was honored to participate in the recent “#Run for Gaza” charity marathon, organized by the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Egyptian Tribal and Families Council. The event, held under the theme “In Solidarity with Our People in Gaza,” brought together various stakeholders to show support for the people of Gaza.

In attendance were Dr. Nevin Al-Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity; Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports; Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment; Ambassador Moushira Khattab, President of the National Council for Human Rights; Engineer Nevin Othman, Secretary-General of the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood; and other esteemed guests.

With nearly 10,000 participants from diverse backgrounds, the marathon aimed to raise donations and assistance for Gaza residents affected by current circumstances. A highlight was the collective effort to equip a convoy of 50 food trucks, launched from the event to provide urgent aid.

As part of this inspirational event, Galala University came together with policymakers, influencers and fellow institutions to stand in unwavering solidarity with Gaza. Beyond the marathon, the university remains committed to raising voices and channeling efforts to support the Palestinian cause.

Such community initiatives reinforce Galala University’s ethos of nurturing socially conscious leaders and catalyzing grassroots action. The university expresses its deepest appreciation to the organizers for spearheading this impactful event.
