Galala University continues to prove its leadership in innovation and entrepreneurship as the GU Incubator and Entrepreneurship Center delivered an outstanding performance at the RiseUp Summit 2026 Hackathon, one of Egypt’s most competitive startup and innovation events.
Competing against top talents from universities across the country, Galala University entered the hackathon with three high-potential student teams, each demonstrating exceptional creativity, resilience, and technical excellence.
Out of dozens of competing startups, two GU teams advanced to the Tech Stage, earning a spot among the top five startups of the entire hackathon—an achievement that reflects the university’s strong entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The success did not stop there. Galala University proudly secured two podium finishes, confirming its position as a rising force in Egypt’s tech and startup scene:
1st Place – Tech Pioneer Team
With an outstanding vision and flawless execution, the team claimed the top prize, earning the title of Best Startup of the Summit.
3rd Place – MediRush Team
A remarkable achievement that highlighted the team’s impactful, tech-driven solution and secured them a well-deserved spot among the top three winners.
