As part of the Global Signature Courses Program, a cornerstone of Galala University’s academic collaboration with the Cintana Alliance, the Faculty of Nursing recently hosted an inspiring and highly interactive session titled:
“Communication Skills & Professional Development: Preparing and Presenting Public Speech.”
This enriching event comes within the framework of Galala University’s commitment to equipping its students with the communication and professional competencies essential for success in today’s dynamic and globalized job market.
Led by Prof. Dr. Rania Farrag, Director of the Nursing Program and Professor of Maternal and Neonatal Health Nursing at Galala University, the session featured the esteemed participation of Dr. Parveen Kumar, Head of the English Language and Communication Department at the American University of Technology in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The collaboration between local and international educators brought a unique global perspective to the topic, reflecting the university’s vision of fostering globally competent graduates.
During the session, students explored a range of practical and theoretical topics centered on effective communication. These included strategies for enhancing verbal and non-verbal skills, overcoming barriers to communication in professional settings, and using speech as a powerful tool for leadership and influence. In particular, the session focused on the art of preparing and delivering impactful public speeches, illustrated through real-life success stories and professional scenarios.
