Galala University Welcomes the Young Egyptian Mathematician Dr. Omar Mohsen to Its Academic Staff

At Galala University, we take pride in nurturing and attracting exceptional minds that inspire future generations. In line with our commitment to academic excellence and innovation, GU is honored to welcome Dr. Omar Mohsen, one of Egypt’s youngest and brightest mathematicians, as a new member of our distinguished academic staff in the Faculty of Basic Sciences.

Dr. Omar’s story is one of brilliance, dedication, and a deep passion for mathematics. His extraordinary journey began in elementary school when his teachers recognized his remarkable talent in the subject. By the age of 13, he was already studying informally at the Faculty of Science, Cairo University — a testament to his unmatched intellectual curiosity and early academic maturity.

At just 19, Dr. Omar earned his master’s degree through a prestigious French scholarship, paving the way for his remarkable achievement: completing a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Paris Diderot University at only 22 years old. His academic contributions are significant, with six published research papers, and he continues to expand his expertise as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Muenster in Germany.

Yesterday marked a proud milestone as Dr. Omar delivered his first academic session to GU students, sharing his passion for mathematics and his inspiring journey. His presence at Galala University not only enhances our scientific community but also serves as a living example of how Egyptian talent continues to shine on the global stage.

At GU, we believe that dreams have no limits, and Dr. Omar’s story perfectly embodies our vision — empowering students and faculty alike to reach for the sky.

Welcome aboard, Dr. Omar Mohsen, to the Galala University family!
