Galala University Explores Academic Cooperation with Japan’s Kyushu University

Out of its continuous efforts to foster international partnerships with globally reputable academic institutions, Galala University (GU) has organized a webinar with Kyushu University in Japan to explore multiple avenues of academic collaboration between the two institutions.

The webinar was held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Haidar Ghaleb, Acting President of Galala University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed El-Shinawi, Acting Vice President for International Relations, Community Service, and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Tarek Abu Al-Maaty, Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs.

During the meeting, both sides discussed future cooperation in several key areas, including joint scientific research, student exchange programs, summer training programs, and graduate study opportunities for GU students at Kyushu University. The discussion also covered the J-MENA project and its role in supporting educational and research collaboration across the Middle East and North Africa.

As Galala University prepares to launch the Galala Academy for Scientific Research, this partnership aims to strengthen GU’s position as an international and regional hub for advanced research and innovation. The session also included insights into Egyptian-Japanese research collaborations, as well as an introduction to living and studying in Japan, particularly for students in the field of Dentistry and other scientific disciplines.

This initiative reflects GU’s commitment to enhancing global engagement, advancing educational excellence, and providing its students with diverse international learning experiences that align with Egypt’s national vision for higher education and research development.
