The workshop encompasses key aspects such as the operating principles of scanning electron microscopes, SEM procedures, techniques for sample preparation and coating, and the varied applications of SEM in fields like nanomaterials, biomaterials, electronics, and more.

Day-1

  • 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM: SEM: Principles
  • 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM: SEM: Operation Conditions
  • 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM: Break
  • 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: SEM demonstration
  • 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Hands on sample preparation

Day-2

  • 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM: Selected topics in SEM applications
  • 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM: SEM detectors and data interpretation 
  • 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM: Break
  • 1:00 PM – 4:00: PM: Practical Session: Investigation of different types of samples
