Dr. Rashed Refaat is a seasoned academic and industry professional with extensive experience in Information Technology and Business Development. He is the Program Director for the Business Information Systems program at Galala University and the Director of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre. He combines a wealth of experience through these roles to further encourage innovation and excellence.
Over his more than 25 years in his career, he contributed to both academia and industry. He held respected positions at institutions such as Cairo University, Helwan University, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, and Misr International University. Research areas include the strategic exploitation of technology to drive business growth and innovation through publications published in international journals. Besides, the 13 years of serving in numerous multinational corporations and the agency UNFPA equipped him with practical insight into the management and consultancy of information technology.
From his excellent academic thoroughness to acquiring a wide exposure to real-life industrial experience, Dr. Refaat has a unique placing to merge the gap between theory and practice. Being proactive and result- oriented, he will be very instrumental in arming students with relevant skills and knowledge necessary for survival in dynamic business contemporary scenes.
