Dr. Reda’s academic journey in Natural Products Chemistry is marked by dedication, international experience, and leadership roles. Beginning his education at Suez Canal University (SCU), Egypt, he earned a Bachelor of Pharmacy with honors in 2007, laying the foundation for his career in pharmaceutical sciences.
Driven by a passion for research, Dr. Reda pursued further studies abroad, completing his Master’s degree at Nagasaki University, Japan, in 2013. He continued his academic journey at the same institution, obtaining his Ph.D. in 2016 with distinction, showcasing his expertise in Natural Products Chemistry from both marine and terrestrial sources.
During his time in Japan, Dr. Reda was awarded an international Japanese fellowship from the Takeda Science Foundation in 2016, recognizing his outstanding contributions to scientific research. Following his doctoral studies, he gained valuable experience through a one-year postdoctoral fellowship, further honing his skills and expertise in his field.
Upon returning to Egypt, Dr. Reda joined Suez Canal University (SCU) as a Lecturer Professor in 2018, where he quickly rose through the ranks, being promoted to Associate Professor in 2023. His tenure at SCU was characterized not only by his academic contributions but also by his leadership roles, including serving as the IT Manager, EPSF Coordinator, and Assistant Professor at the Department of Pharmacognosy.
Dr. Reda’s commitment to academic excellence and leadership continues at Galala University (GU), where he currently serves as the Pharmacognosy Department coordinator and the Pharm D-Clinical Pharmacy Program Director. In these roles, he plays a crucial role in shaping the educational direction of the department and program, ensuring high-quality education and training for future pharmacy professionals.
