On Wednesday, April 24th, 2024, five teams representing the Faculty of Pharmacy at Galala University showcased their expertise in the poster competition held during the workshop titled “Bioremediation of Waste before Dumping into the Environment.” Organized by the National Committee for Microorganisms of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, this event was hosted at Al-Ahram Canadian University in 6th of October City.
Among 139 posters submitted from various Egyptian universities and research institutions, the Galala Pharmacy teams stood out, with four of them earning spots in the finals. These teams were selected as part of the top 11 scientific posters presented from the total submissions.
The competition was fierce, highlighting the depth of talent and innovation in the field of bioremediation. Recognizing the outstanding efforts of the Galala University teams, the sponsors of the event, including Plasma Company for Research Services, Chem-Tech Company for Medical and Laboratory Equipment, and Science Space Company for Scientific Services, awarded each team a voucher worth 5,000 pounds. This voucher enables the teams to attend a series of courses and practical training sessions under the guidance of Plasma Company, further enhancing their skills and knowledge in this critical area of research.
