On Tuesday, 30 December 2025, the Technology of Radiology & Medical Imaging Program, Faculty of Applied Health Sciences, Galala University, organized the AI in Radiology 2025 Hands-On Training in collaboration with Rology, a leading Egyptian health-tech company and an AI-powered teleradiology platform. The full-day training event brought together approximately 219 students from all academic years, reflecting strong student interest in emerging technologies within the healthcare sector.

The training was held under the supervision of Prof. Adel El Ged, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences, and Prof. Nesreen Mohey, Director of the Technology of Radiology & Medical Imaging Program. The event aimed to introduce students to the growing role of artificial intelligence in modern radiology practice and to enhance their understanding of how AI technologies are transforming medical imaging services.

Throughout the day, participants attended a series of expert-led lectures that highlighted the latest applications of artificial intelligence in radiology. Topics included AI-assisted diagnostic techniques, challenges related to medical imaging data, workflow automation, and advanced AI-driven radiology solutions. These sessions provided students with valuable insights into current industry trends and real-world clinical applications.

The program concluded with an intensive hands-on session conducted in Galala University’s laboratories, where students applied the concepts discussed during the lectures. Using Google AI Studio, participants developed AI-based simulators for different radiology modalities, allowing them to gain practical experience in designing and testing AI tools relevant to medical imaging.

The training significantly enhanced students’ technical, analytical, and research skills, supporting Galala University’s commitment to bridging academic learning with industry practices. At the end of the event, students were informed that they will receive attendance certificates accredited by Galala University and Rology, further recognizing their participation and engagement in the training.
