Dr. Hirshon serves as a Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine and in the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where he also holds the position of Senior Vice-Chairman.

With an extensive academic and research background, Dr. Hirshon has authored over 125 articles and chapters on a wide range of topics related to improving acute care systems, emphasizing the importance of placing acute care on the global health agenda and advancing emergency department operations worldwide.

His expertise and global perspective will contribute significantly to enriching the academic and research environment at Galala University, fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence in medical education and public health.
