Petroleum & Mining Geology Students Gain Hands-On Experience in Leading Petroleum Companies

In line with this vision, our fourth-year Petroleum & Mining Geology students had the incredible opportunity to receive practical training at leading petroleum companies during their summer vacation.

Throughout the training period, students immersed themselves in various operational environments, gaining first-hand insights into exploration, drilling, production, and geological assessment processes. This experience allowed them to observe how theoretical knowledge from their academic studies is applied to solve real industry challenges.

Beyond technical skills, the students also explored the diverse career paths within the petroleum and mining sectors — from geoscience and drilling engineering to environmental management and energy transition strategies. These interactions with professionals provided them with valuable mentorship, broadening their perspectives on the future of the global energy industry.
