Electrochemical Sensors: Principles and Applications

This workshop centers on electrochemical sensors, aiming to deliver a blend of theoretical understanding and practical exposure. Each day comprises two 2-hour lectures, with breaks provided for participants. The lab sessions are allotted 4 hours to ensure ample time for the fabrication, characterization, and application experiments related to sensors. Additionally, the workshop is adaptable to participants’ expertise levels and tailored to their specific interests within the field of electrochemical sensing.

Day-1

  • 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM: Introduction to Electrochemical Sensors and their working principles
  • 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM: Working Principles of Electrochemical Sensors
  • 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM: Break
  • 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Hands-on activity: Fabrication of polymeric membrane electrodes and characterization of fabricated sensors.

Day-2

  • 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM: Calibration and data interpretation methods: Case studies on data analysis for electrochemical sensors
  • 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM: Advanced Topics in Electrochemical Sensors
  • 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM: Break
  • 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Application-specific electrochemical sensing, data analysis and interpretation of experimental results
