The Faculty of Pharmacy is excited to kick off the “World Antimicrobial Awareness Week” (WAAW) campaign with an “AMR Walkathon” on GU campus.

In collaboration with the Faculty of Pharmacy Students, Office of Student Life, and GU Sports Club, this event aims to raise awareness about antimicrobial resistance. It’s a Walkathon, not a Marathon, and everyone is welcome to join. Participants will receive certificates, and the goal is to promote the rational use of antimicrobials to prevent resistance. The color code is blue, aligning with the WHO’s “Go Blue Campaign.” WAAW, an annual WHO initiative, emphasizes global awareness on antimicrobial resistance and showcases One Health collaborations>
