Biography

Professor Emad Said received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from the Civil Engineering Department, AL-AZHAR University, Egypt, and Ph.D. degree from Lehigh University, USA. From 1998 to 2003, he served as a research engineer in the Advanced Technology Center for Large Structural Systems (ATLSS), Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA. He participated in full scale testing of composite ships, structural health monitoring of suspension bridges and many other projects. In 2004, he held a post doctor position at Advanced Technology Center for Large Structural Systems (ATLSS), Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA.

He has 15 years of practical experience as a certified structural consultant for steel and concrete structures during which he designs and supervised many large-scale structures including tall buildings, prestressed concrete and steel bridges, tensile structure stadium roof.
