Ibrahim H. A. Badr is a professor of analytical chemistry in the chemistry department, faculty of science, Ain Shams University since 2007, and is currently on a secondment to Galala University, Faculty of Science. He received his Ph.D. under a joint supervision program between the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA, and Ain Shams University, Cairo Egypt. He had two post-doctoral training; one short term at the University of Michigan and two years post-doctoral training at the University of Kentucky, Lexington, Kentucky.
Professor Badr had secondments for more than 10-years at United Arab Emirates University (UAE), University of Taibah (KSA), and the University of Qatar (Qatar).
Professor Badr was a visiting professor at the University of Michigan and at the University of Kentucky (USA). His main research interests are in the field of sensors and biosensors, and nanomaterial applications in analytical chemistry, where he has more than 60 articles published in top analytical journals and two USA patents.
Professor Badr has received state award in Advanced Scientific Technological Sciences in 2007, also he was awarded the International Publication Award several years by Ain Shams University.
