Biography

Dr. Ibrahim H. A. Badr is a distinguished figure in the realm of analytical chemistry, currently serving as a Professor in the Chemistry Department at the Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University, a position he has held since 2007. Presently, he is on secondment to Galala University, Faculty of Science, continuing his academic journey.

Dr. Badr’s academic credentials include a Ph.D. obtained through a joint supervision program between the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA, and Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. His quest for knowledge extended beyond his doctoral studies, as evidenced by his post-doctoral training experiences. He completed short-term training at the University of Michigan and pursued a two-year post-doctoral training at the University of Kentucky, Lexington, Kentucky, USA.

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Badr has undertaken secondments at esteemed institutions, including United Arab Emirates University (UAE), University of Taibah (KSA), and the University of Qatar (Qatar), accumulating over 10 years of experience in various academic environments.

Dr. Badr’s expertise has been recognized globally, leading to appointments as a visiting professor at the University of Michigan and the University of Kentucky. His primary research interests lie in the fields of sensors and biosensors, as well as nanomaterial applications in analytical chemistry.

Dr. Badr’s contributions to scientific literature are substantial, with over 60 articles published in top analytical journals, showcasing the depth and breadth of his research endeavors. Additionally, he holds two patents in the United States, further illustrating the impact of his innovative work.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to scientific advancement, Dr. Badr has received accolades such as the state award in Advanced Scientific Technological Sciences in 2007. Furthermore, his dedication to scholarly excellence has been acknowledged through multiple International Publication Awards conferred by Ain Shams University over the years.
