Biography

Dr. Nagwa Samak currently holds the position of Dean at the Faculty of Administrative Science at Galala University. With a distinguished academic career spanning several decades, she has served as a Professor of Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University, since 2007.

Dr. Samak’s journey in academia began in 1984 when she graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University. From there, she embarked on a path of teaching and research excellence, starting as an Assistant Teacher and steadily progressing to the rank of full Professor by 2007.

Throughout her career, Dr. Samak has held various administrative roles, showcasing her leadership and organizational skills. She served as the Vice Dean of Postgraduate Studies at the Faculty of Economic and Political Science at Cairo University and also headed the Economics Department. Additionally, she contributed significantly to the academic community as the Director of the Research Centre of Economic and Financial Studies at Cairo University and as Vice Dean of Postgraduate Studies at Future University in Cairo.

Dr. Samak’s expertise in economics and academic administration has led her to work at esteemed institutions across the Arab world. She served as a Professor of Economics and the Director of the MBA program at Prince Sultan University in Saudi Arabia’s Faculty of Business Administration. She also held the position of Vice Dean at Northern Border University in Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, her contributions extended to King Saud University in Saudi Arabia and Muta’h University in Jordan, where she worked in the Department of Financial and Banking.

Dr. Samak’s international engagements include a visiting professorship at Georgia State University’s Andrew Young School in the United States, demonstrating her global impact and collaborative spirit in academia.

With her extensive experience and expertise in economics and academic administration, Dr. Nagwa Samak continues to make significant contributions to the field of higher education both nationally and internationally.
