National Institute of Marine Sciences and Fisheries Welcomes Galala University Delegation to Foster Scientific Collaboration

In a significant stride towards advancing scientific and academic partnerships, Dr. Amr Hamouda, President of the National Institute of Marine Sciences and Fisheries, warmly received a distinguished delegation from Galala University, led by Prof. Dr. Mohamed El Shinawi, President of Galala University. The visit, held at the National Institute of Marine Sciences and Fisheries located in Alexandria, aims to solidify collaborative efforts through the signing of a joint scientific cooperation agreement between the institute and the university, with a primary focus on enhancing scientific exchange and collaborative research in marine sciences and fisheries.

Renowned as a leading institution in Egypt and the region for its expertise in marine sciences, the National Institute of Marine Sciences and Fisheries seeks to bolster collaboration with Galala University to leverage its scientific and technical proficiency, foster knowledge exchange, and drive innovative research in this critical domain.

The comprehensive agreement encompasses cooperation in various scientific and applied areas of mutual interest, including joint research projects, technology transfer initiatives, industry-research linkages, environmental problem-solving, student and expert exchanges, joint scientific oversight, and the organization of training programs, conferences, and workshops. Additionally, the delegation had the opportunity to explore the institute’s research vessels equipped with advanced marine surveying devices, underscoring the commitment of both institutions to advancing marine research and fostering environmental stewardship.
