Galala University signs a Cooperation Protocol to Support Scientific Research

Galala University continues its commitment to advancing scientific research through a series of protocols. The latest initiative involves a cooperation protocol signed by Mr. Engineer Essam Al-Nagar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Export and Import Control, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Shinawi, President of Galala University. The protocol aims to foster the exchange of experiences and expertise in projects, scientific research, consultations, technical support, training, and education.

Engineer Essam Al-Nagar emphasized that the primary objective is to provide training for students, enhance human resource capabilities, and offer updated scientific and educational programs. The collaboration also seeks to provide technical support, consultations, and participation in Egyptian and international scientific and research projects. By linking scientific research with industry, the protocol aims to bolster Egypt’s strategy for sustainable development across economic, environmental, and social dimensions, ultimately contributing to an increase in Egyptian exports.

On the other hand, Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Shinawi, GU President, affirmed that the protocol will pave the way for numerous joint programs, activities, training courses, and workshops. Additionally, it will facilitate the organization of conferences, seminars, and scientific discussions. The collaboration between the university and the General Authority for Export and Import Control will also extend to supporting joint activities in the areas of technical assistance, studies, research, and providing field training for students. Galala University is committed to empowering its students by providing practical training opportunities, establishing connections with major universities, companies, and local and international entities, and preparing students for the job market.

Furthermore, El Shinawi stated the comprehensive nature of the cooperation with the Authority, aiming to leverage shared interests and seek the assistance of experts and specialists across various fields. This collaboration will involve participation in research, scientific dissertations, and education development projects, with the goal of generating joint research projects that contribute to societal development and preservation through institutional partnership mechanisms.
This joint initiative aligns with the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research, supported by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Mr. Engineer Ahmed Samir, Minister of Trade and Industry. The strategy aims to optimize the utilization of human resources in academic institutions through cooperation with local, regional, and international centers, organizations, and institutions. By offering training opportunities for students and graduates and leveraging the capabilities of academic institutions to support medium, small, and micro enterprises, the strategy facilitates industry localization.
