A delegation of 25 outstanding students from the Faculties of Science, Engineering, Pharmacy, Dentistry, and Computer Science at Galala University took part in the Innovation Forum for Science and Technology, hosted by Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT), China, from July 6–9, 2025.
The program featured a rich variety of cultural, scientific, and recreational activities, including lectures on nano chemistry, advanced and modern materials, and artificial intelligence and its role in the development of science and technology.
At the conclusion of the forum, Galala University students were honored by Beijing University of Chemical Technology and presented with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their participation.
This initiative was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Shinawi, President of Galala University, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hassan El-Desouky, Executive Education Supervisor at GU.
In line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this participation contributes to:
• SDG 4: Quality Education – by enhancing students’ knowledge in advanced sciences and emerging technologies.
• SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure – by fostering innovation through applied research and technology-driven learning.
• SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals – through strengthening international collaboration with Beijing University of Chemical Technology to promote student and faculty exchange.
It is worth mentioning that preparations are currently underway to sign a collaboration agreement between Galala University and Beijing University of Chemical Technology, aimed at facilitating student and faculty exchange between the two institutions.
