Galala University made a remarkable presence at the QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific 2025, held in Seoul, South Korea from 4 to 6 November 2025, and hosted by Korea University under the theme “Empowering the Next Generation: Skills and Partnerships in Asia Pacific.” The summit is one of the most prominent regional events that brings together higher education leaders and policymakers from around the world to exchange knowledge, build partnerships, and promote institutional excellence.
Galala University was honored to be among the Egyptian institutions officially invited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to participate in the summit’s sessions and exhibition. The university’s delegation was led by Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Shinawi, President of Galala University, and Dr. Rana Zeidan, Secretary General, along with Mr. Mohab Saleh, Director of Business Development.
The GU delegation held a series of fruitful bilateral meetings with representatives from global universities and international partners, exploring new opportunities for academic collaboration and strengthening the university’s international profile. A key highlight of this year’s participation was Mr. Mohab Saleh’s role as the only Egyptian speaker featured on the summit’s main stage with the participation of over 180 speakers from all over the world. He delivered a presentation titled “Student Experience as a Recruitment Engine: Designing Campus Life that Converts,” which reflected Galala University’s innovative approach to enhancing student engagement through interactive pre-enrollment programs and holistic campus experiences.
Commenting on the event, Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Shinawi, President of Galala University, said:
“Our participation in the QS Summit represents a strategic step in our vision for international openness and confirms Galala University’s position as a leading institution in modern Egyptian higher education. We are committed to being an active part of the global education community through academic collaboration, joint research, and student mobility programs.”
He further emphasized that this distinguished participation demonstrates the competitive capabilities of Egyptian universities on the global stage and reflects GU’s dedication to delivering an education experience rooted in quality, innovation, and international partnership.
During his address, Mr. Mohab Saleh praised the support of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, H. E. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, in advancing the international presence of Egyptian universities. He reaffirmed GU’s mission to be a model of academic openness and global collaboration, inviting all participants to visit Egypt and Galala University, coinciding with the official opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, which proudly hosted GU’s first graduation ceremony a milestone national event.
