Galala University Signs Memorandum of Understanding with “Rology” for Continuous Professional Development in Radiology and Medical Imaging

In line with its commitment to academic excellence and enhancing integration between education and industry, Galala University has signed a memorandum of understanding with Rology, a leading medical technology company. The agreement aims to strengthen collaboration in Continuous Professional Development (CPD), joint research and development projects, particularly in the fields of radiology and medical imaging.

This strategic partnership sets an advanced model for collaboration between Galala University and leading medical technology institutions, aiming to support continuous education, develop medical and technical personnel, and launch innovative research projects leveraging artificial intelligence.

Prof. Mohamed El-Shinawi, President of Galala University, commented, “At Galala University, we believe that continuous professional development is essential in a world experiencing rapid medical and technological advancements. Our collaboration with Rology marks a significant step towards building a knowledge and practical bridge between the academic and technological fields to equip professional cadres capable of keeping pace with digital transformation in healthcare.”

Key areas of collaboration outlined in the memorandum include the development and delivery of educational programs, specialized workshops in radiology and medical imaging, practical training opportunities, and CPD for graduates of the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences and other healthcare professionals through Rology’s digital platform. Additionally, joint research projects will focus on developing AI applications and algorithms in medical imaging, with an emphasis on Radiology IT, deep learning, and foundation models in medical applications.

The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Mohamed El-Shinawi, President of Galala University, Dr. Adel El-Ged, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences, and Dr. Hend Ghalal, Program Director of Radiology and Medical Imaging. Representing Rology were Eng. Amr Abu Drei’a, CEO, Dr. Mohamed Hamam, Medical Communications Lead, Eng. Mahmoud Barakat, Deputy CEO, Eng. Sameh Ahmed, AI Team Lead, and Dr. Ibrahim El-Shahabi, Medical Advisor for the AI team.
