Galala University extends its deepest gratitude to its Board of Trustees at the conclusion of its first five-year term (September 2020 – August 2025), following the decision of H.E. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to reconstitute the Board.
Since the university’s founding, the Board has played a pivotal role in shaping its strategic vision, overcoming the challenges of its early years, and strengthening its academic and institutional standing nationally, regionally, and internationally. Its contributions have left a lasting impact on the university’s progress and will continue to inspire future development.
The university pays special tribute to the late Eng. Sherif Ismail, former Prime Minister and the Board’s first Chair, for his unwavering support during the university’s launch, and to Prof. Dr. Adel Hassan El-Adawy, former Minister of Health, who led the Board with strategic vision. Appreciation is also extended to Eng. Tarek Kabil, former Minister of Trade and Industry and Vice Chair, for his role in strengthening governance and sustainability; Prof. Dr. Ali Mohamed Sadeq Sabour, Secretary of the Board, for his academic insight; Prof. Dr. Nadia Makram Ebeid, former Minister of Environment; Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Hamid Shaira; Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdallah Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina; the Governor of Suez; and the leaders of the Military Technical College and the Military Medical Academy for their invaluable support and cooperation.
Galala University also congratulates the newly formed Board of Trustees, chaired by Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hatem, with Mr. Ahmed Issa Taha as Vice Chair and Dr. Maha Sayed Zain El Abidin El-Rabbat as Secretary, alongside distinguished national and academic figures. The university reaffirms its commitment to pursuing excellence and leadership in line with Egypt’s National Strategy for Higher Education, continuing to serve the nation with dedication and innovation.
